Default Where to advertise to find heavy equipment diesel mechanics/engineers?

I am working directly with one of Australia's largest suppliers of earthmoving equipment to the mining industry. This company is currently experiencing a huge shortage of skilled heavy equipment mechanics and is looking to expand its recruitment to the UK.

In the coming weeks we will be starting a recruitment campaign in an attempt to attract skilled mechanics to come and work in Australia. This company offers very attractive salary packages and working conditions and is willing to relocate UK citizens to Australia - this means paying for visa and relocation costs. Although initially the visa will be 457, the company will support applications for PR. I am based in England and will be interviewing potential candidates at various locations throughout the UK.

If anyone could provide some information as to the best place to advertise these roles it would be greatly appreciated - what newspapers, websites, magazines etc do mechanics look at when they are job hunting, particularly job hunting with relocation in mind?

We are looking for trade qualified diesel mechanics/fitters with at least 5 years post trade experience with mining/heavy construction machinery.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, and please feel free to contact me if you would be interested in any further information regarding this job opportunity in Australia.

Have emailed you about being interested in the job opportunities
These are the websites we currently look at when looking at jobs
www.seek.com.au
www.engineeringjobs.net.au
www.anderselite.com
Also see if you could get a feature in the Australia NewZealand Magazine as they are starting to look at companies wanting UK employers to move to Australia
I would also look at advertising in mechanical engineering magazines, if i can find my husbands one i could get you a contact address for them.
hope this helps
Mandy

Anyone going to Brisbane area try Cummins, they have opened up a new building and may have some vacancies (but I don't think they are doing sponsorships anymore).
