Yes, it is paid. The majority of my work comes from Malaysia (and as such, payments are usually in Malaysian currency). Although I would prefer to hire expats in Malaysia (because they are generally used to Malaysian's particular ways of doing and saying things), it's really aimed at anyone with an internet connection.

I'm up for proofing, London born, Australian bred, Singapore PR (since 2000), living in Johor Bahru since 2010.
IT specialist since 1980, plenty of proofreading experience (technical manuals, trade papers, educational literature).

Dear Phil, a long shot as I'm currently in the UK but arrive in the Far East in January through to April 2015. I'm seeking work in Penange to keep me occupied as I have no wish to be idle and my goal is to skip an English winter! My background is in recruitment having set up a successful business on a shoestring which I sold 4 years ago. I recently qualified as a TESOL teacher and am supremely confident of my written English.
