Just had an email I thought might be useful for someone out there
If you work in finance and you’re considering a move overseas, you’ll be interested to know that New Zealand is fast becoming the destination of choice for finance professionals. As a result, Hays GlobaLink has teamed up with ANZ Bank and selected partners to bring you an exclusive event to showcase career and employment options available to you in New Zealand.
You’re invited to an informal evening to learn about New Zealand’s finance industry and all the reasons New Zealand is a great choice for your international move. This event will be of interest to people with experience in the following areas: professional practice, commerce & industry, banking or insurance and financial services who are serious about a move to New Zealand.

Despite my past post, I would highly recommend an evening spent in the Penthouse at NZ House - its a great location.

I don't think this is true and even if it is you have to ask why there are lots of accounting positions available in NZ.
Hint: There are lots of NZ accountants and other financial workers working in London for more money.

Um did i not read a while back that ANZ were going to be doing redundancies? or was it a different bank

I posted a link to the Herald on hee but it has to wait for a moderator to authorise it so im not even sure if it will be posted (might be some sort of legal reason posting someone elses work so will wait and see)
But the bottom line is it was an article about ANZ asking for voluntary redundancies a while back.

Depends on what part of the financial sector you are working in. I work in the financial sector and earn at LEAST double what I did in the UK (almost triple actually).
The financial sector is not saturated like it is in the UK. There is huge money to be made in the UK compared with NZ, but it is for the very small minority!
