Question Will we have time?

Hey chaps,

As I mentioned to you before, i'm marrying in Italy (1 week today!!)

But I have a question for you about Rome airport. We have to catch 3 flights to get to Lamezia. About a month ago the flight times were changed on the last flight from Rome to Lamezia, I noticed we landed earlier and was happy.

I've just printed out the info and notice that we land at Rome at 7.35 and have to leave on next flight at 8.35!!!!!

Seen as we come in international and go out domestic don't we have to collect luggage and re-check?

What is the reality on this time scale? There's 7 of us and one infant and I have visions of us all running like hell. We land Terminal B and go out on A, are they far apart?

Any advice/warnings on the airport and how to get around it would be greatly appreciated.

You have not said where you are departing from but if you are coming from the UK I think you can check your baggage straight thro’ to your final destination.
Terminal A & B are close together and joined at FCO, 5 minutes walk without going outside. You will arrive at B on the ground floor; follow the signs for domestic connecting flights which will take you up to domestic departures in terminal A on the first floor. (Now I think about it if you are arriving at B you are not coming from the UK, terminal B is for Schengen accord member countries so I’m pretty sure you can check your baggage right thro’.)
As long as your inbound flight is not late you should be OK, if you are flying all the way on AZ then it’s up to them to sort out the mess if your incoming FCO flight is late. If you have a different FCO inbound airline then it’s not so easy.
If your inbound FCO is late then you should advise the flight attendant on the flight in good time about your concerns regarding your connection. As there are 7 of you they might well hold the FCO outbound for 15 or 20 minutes. It would also make a big difference if you are in business.

Thanks Chris, i was told eventually that we do check our bags right through. So we should make it if there are no delays, we leave Norway, to Amsterdam, to Rome, to Lamezia.

Thanks for all your help,

xx
