What are you buying your hubby/partner for Christmas?
Christmas is almost here and while I know what to get for the kids, I have no idea what to get for my husband.
Any ideas, suggestions please?

Yeah I'm holding off buying an e-reader until at least next Xmas. I've been an early adopter previously and had my fingers burnt with useless devices. I'm waiting for the all-singing all-dancing full touchscreen colour versions coming out next year.

Seriously? About colour etc. I'll have a google. I'd get the kindle anyway if I were you but get it sent to the UK. I did all the research last year and it is way ahead of the e-reader. You could get an itouch like I've got. I've well over 100 books on it now - that's only thru choice too. Plus apple are going to be bringing out a tablet/reader of their own which I must admit is interesting! I better start saving for our NYC trip next summer!!

Yeah take a trip to the 24hr Apple store in NYC and get me one too! My brother was often in NYC for business but since he got made redundant last year I've got no-one to get me goodies

Hmmmm no idea!! We are a bit unromantic though and don't often buy for each other.... rather have a nice meal out or spoil ourselves when back in the UK...

We don't really bother with presents for each other. We get the tickets to England and we buy what we need or really like there.
I usually get OH a little something that the kids wrap up and write a tag on but it's usually something typical and practical like new socks

I don't know either. We've just sorted all the family pressies and realised we haven't got each others. I might get him trainers cos he wants to start jogging with me. He wants a new aftershave but I don't know what's nice. An afternoon smelling stuff coming up I think!
I'm going to ask him to get me an easel, he 'll probably use it too as he's just taken up drawing.
I think we'll concentrate more on nice food and decorations this year. Having just come from Japan it's nice to be somewhere that understands Christmas again!

Xmas is strange in Japan! Most people aren't Christian, not that we are in the UK, but at least we're aware of this Jesus character!
They tend to go really overboard on lights and decorations but only really give presents to children. It's getting more popular for adults to give each other stuff though. Of course it's not an official holiday there so everything stays open, which is handy if you forget anything you need for dinner! It's a bit sad though. And they consider it to be over the morning of the 25th, so if you do need to go out you see all the decorations being taken down.
I think it might actually start earlier than in the UK, usually the shops get Xmas stuff in before Halloween, which is a massive deal there.
I actually used to like our christmases there. We lived in an area with no other foreigners, so me, hubby and cat would get stocked up and hide for a few days. Much better than the family stress at home!
Oh, and in Japan they think KFC is a Christmas dinner. You can't just walk in there on the 25th to buy something. Only pre-orders for family bucket things (I'm vegetarian, I don't know!). Also xmas eve is a big date night, you have to book your "love hotel" in advance!

OH wanted a iphone holder for the car, but I think I've talked him out of one of those - the holder costs more than a sat nav. Hence if anything it would be more sense to buy another sat nav.
He now says he wants a Play Station 3 (?) I looked and they're about 250 quid! Crikey. Think I might have to persuade him against this too.
