Default weather

Hello all
My wife wants to know why the weather has been so bad here in Tuscany! I've been looking at the various weather sites; and none of them is anywhere near accurate. I've been looking out at the rain all day, while Previsioni Meteo: le previsioni del tempo live | METEO.IT (for example) confidently pronounces a sunny day with a bit of cloud. Can anyone a) suggest a better site b) explain what's up with the weather this year?

Hi there tray Accuweather/ europe/italy/tuscany/ your town, adjust F. and C. as you prefer it. Usually the best of a bunch, and as well as long term forecast they have a nifty radar for clouds and rain.
What is going on ? Global warming.....
Let me know how you get on !

more extreme weather patterns, certainly - its being changing for the last few years. shorter springs, longer autumns - and lots more rain for the north. Unfortunately theres nooneto write a strong letter to....

Not just in Tuscany OP. Yesterday I drove from Veneto through Emilia, Tuscany, Umbria and into Lazio it was raining cats and dogs all the way.

And I am near Brindisi, and it isn't. We are not that far apart, but I have seen it raining a couple of kilometres away and not here.

Up here in Piemonte we are having a really awful summer. Its even a bit chilly. the swimming pools must be losing an absolute fortune. Apparantely in the UK its going to hit 30 degrees this weekend ! Lucky them.

JUst on a side note - we had a little tremor yesterday in Piemonte but to my utter shock we also had an earthquake in my hometown of the Channel Islands this week and it was about 4.6 . The first earthquake for about 90 years apparantely

The was an article in the newspaper today about swimming pool in Verona losing out this year and that's with the biggest one not opening.

In Turin we are still sleeping under a blanket, albeit a thin one. Not complaining though. Rather this weather than hot, hot, hot. The news keeps saying that a heat wave is on it's way here.......every week.
