Default Wahoo! "Electronic" Italian ID card within 1 week.

My credit card-sized ID came 4 days after a very straightforward and simple process in our small, local comune. When so much in Italy can be a bureaucratic nightmare with disinterested staff, this was a doddle.
All that was needed was a passport photo, my Cod. Fiscale and Eur 22.20.
I didn't really expect it to be delivered within the 5 working days I was told, but blow me down it came on the 4th day!
(Reminder to self: must not be so pessimistic; some systems do work.)

I had the opposite experience today. I went to check the state of my Citizenship request. They have changed the query so that you have to type in various bits of information. When I got it all together it just says the application does not exist.
Now I am wondering did they reject it and not bother writing or has the computer lost it or has the Ministry lost it.
When you see the boss dressed as a marine commando or as a firefighter or taking a picture of himself it doesn't inspire much confidence.

Did you check online or go to your prefettura? I know some people have been rejected because of the introduction of the language exam certificate, but they have all been temporarily rejected in writing until they can provide this certificate.

I enquired at the prefettura today. ...stia tranquillo sta precendendo regolarmente...
Is the language test retrospective? I applied two years ago.

I don't think it is. I think it's a new requirement from December 2018 ............... I think.

I've had one of these ID cards for about a year now and, almost without fail, everyone I hand it to says "oddio" and then squints because all of the details are written in an absolutely tiny font!
