Default Voting rights

The referendum this weekend has got me thinking, are we as residents but not Italian citizens entitled to vote in national, regional or local elections? If we are, to which office do we have to apply? No doubt there is a huge amount of paperwork involved but just curious.

only local and European elections. Go the electoral office in your comune and they'll give you a voting card

Seems "no taxation without representation" has never quite been resolved!

They got a vote in the Scottish independence referendum though.
