Re: Vaccination

Found a message on my phone this morning - appointment today at 13.12pm! Very well organised - in and out in 20 minutes - had Pfizer and feeling OK. OH also received a message, his appointment is at lunchtime tomorrow. I was not expecting to be 'done' so soon, thought it would get to June/July so very pleased.

They seem to be speeding up Italy. My partner got an appointment two weeks ago for the end of May. We cancelled that on Saturday and there was a new appointment available for Monday morning.
I had the same experience as Plan B feeling ill for 3days with AZ.

I think that it must be a good thing to feel a bit ill after a vaccination: shows that it's doing something!

I had vaccination last night - Johnson and Johnson. Has anyone had side effects with this one? I felt very cold in bed last night, adding the patchwork quilt that I usually throw off for being too hot. Apart from that I feel ok, but maybe it takes a couple of days for side effects to kick in?

They seem to be making more progress now by opening new vaccination centers with around 16million Italians treated.
I notice this new EU Green Pass is only valid for 6 months so we will have to keep going back for new shots.

I've not heard of an EU Green Pass. What is it, and how do we get it?

Not many people have had it in Italy because it's only just been made available here.

It's been used in the US much more and so I looked at the American govt websites and what you describe sounds like typically expected mild side-effects that should last a couple of days. Obviously I'm not a doctor so you should probably do your own research, because in some rare cases there have been more serious side-effects. Weren't you given any info to read before had the jab?

I was given some information to print off when I booked the appointment, but can't remember anything about the Johnson and Johnson one. Maybe because it wasn't available here then. My Italian friend has an appointment for her (English) husband for 26th, so will ask if she has a copy.

All talk at the moment, but the thought is that we will need a blood test to confirm, or not, our immunity allowing for a 6month extension.

It's a vaccination cert. Standard for EU. It should be made available via the SanitaKmZero fasicolo. You need to register your consent with you doctor first to be able to use it. I don't know if all regions use it yet. The separate App also allows for repeat prescriptions, appointments and test results. Alternatively, people will be able to get the cert from their local Asl.

It is not valid for travel though until you've had both jabs.

I have, and I'm not particularly worried, just interested in the experience of others.

One dose and no special cooling required it must save a lot of time and money. The catholic church isnt too keen on this vaccine because it originates from a fetus.
