Hi,
I am currently interested in studying in Italy and I have a question regarding if I can use my non EU passport. I am a British citizen but also have another citizenship (non EU). The reason I would want to use my non EU passport is because it increase your chance of being accepted into the university due to less competition and lower entry requirements. I was wondering if this would be possible.
Thanks

If you come in on a non-EU passport you will have to get a permesso di soggiorno to study.

And with the bureaucraziness here, so not worth it.
Besides, coming in on a non-EU passport doesn't negate EU citizenship and it might be considered fraud - I'm not sure on this point, just guessing. If you are determined to do it this way do your research and make sure you don't fall foul of the law.

Yes universities do have allocated places for non Italian/Eu citizens so that would be to your advantage.
If you are studying at an Italian university then you shouldn't have any big problems in getting a permesso di soggiorno .. in theory.
I think that would be the only really big disadvantage.
