Just a quick question - can anyone advise me if we can legally bring our caravan to Italy(Its old but roadworthy). Initially it will be stored at home but eventually (pennies permitting!) we would love to put it on a site, possibly near the Lake (Garda) to give us a weekend retreat. My OH seems to think we need to register it in Italy, like you do a trailer. Any pointers in the right direction much appreciated.

We have a uk caravan here and it is parked on our land. we didn't need anything I think if it is towed by a Uk car you come under tourist regs

Ciao, exactly so. But if it is to be towed by an Italian reg. vehicle then it needs to be homologated and re registered like a trailer.
