Right, after the huge success of my "Tea Loaf" for which I even received fan mail, here 's my next suggestion for something savoury. It's my son's favourite and his only complaint ii that I don't make enough sauce
750 g turkey breast (I buy the ones in Lidl) otherwise chicken breasts
1 crushed and peeled clove of garlic
40 g butter
Juice of 2 fresh oranges
1 stock cube
1 tblsp. fresh chopped parsley*
Gently fry the turkey on all sides with the garlic, but don't brown it. Then add the orange juice (fresh makes all the difference), stock cube and parsley and let it boil on a low heat for about 45 mins (turkey) or 30 mins (chicken). Keep your eye on it towards the end of the cooking time in case all the juice evaporates (if it does, just add some more until the meat is cooked). Add salt according to taste and remove garlic. I serve it with plain rice, put the sliced meat on top and the lovely golden-coloured sauce. Then my lot go and mix it all up 'cos they think it is a risotto!
* I buy one of the big bunches of fresh parsley at the supermarket, wash it and pick the leaves off (kids love helping) and freeze it and it's just like fresh. You don't have to dry it before freezing and when it is frozen, put the bag in another plastic bag and give it a good bashing with a rolling pin and you have it ready chopped!
Now, I wonder what Duffer is going to make of all this.

Haven't tried your tea loaf yet, but I'm going to.
My lot are addicted to All Bran loaf. Even to the point of baking it themselves when I'm away. A dear friend made something very similar to your Turkey Orange, but she made it all in the microwave. I always meant to ask her for the recipe.
I wizz my excess parsley with any other herbs I have and onion, celery, garlic & carrot pack it into ice cubes then it's ready for use. Also makes a great vegatarian stock cube. Hubby's family do not freeze the mixture. They add salt add store it in jars.
I'm afraid I have a problem with Lidl's turkey too.

Went to a restaurant last night and they had 'Tagliata di tacchino agli agrumi' on the menu.
Didn't go for it though.

Shopping in LIDL is a dilemma for me, I really want to buy from the shops where I live but LIDL is so cheap, do I go to the local shop where the girls are very friendly and helpful or go to LIDL where its cheap, I dont itemise but I always seem to spend 40 euro on bits pieces in the local, I go in LIDL and get a big barrow sometimes buy a cheap shirt, trays of tomatoes in cans, trays of beans , stuff for the garden and its about 70 euro, I took another expat to my local shop and he said "I know why you like this shop its the beautiful girls" and its true, I have not tried the turkey , its probably Bernard Mathews from Poland, they allow de-beaking in Poland, and other horrors

From mummy turkey, I suppose or the egg hatchery
I only get it from Lidl because it is the only place here I can get a 750 1.000gram lump of turkey breast (the other shops just sell "fettine").
I am sticking to cake recipes in future - any problems where I get my sultanas from

P.S. has anybody apart from me, tried LIDL turkey? You shouldn't knock it, if you haven't tried it!

Actually Baroni might be a bona fide Italian turkey breeder or whatever as far as I know. I think there was some law whereby they had to tell you exacly where meat comes from on the label. I think the Coop do it.
