I can imagine that many die while watching Bonolis, probably by suicide - but the article was about fizzy drinks - I think you could invent a new malady with the statistics for bonolimia or the like.

Sorry modicasa, you are losing me.

Are you saying that the great danger is the fizz?

I can't see a reference to fizz in the article, but may have scanned it too quickly.

It's all nonsense- so why worry
Personally, I am most unhappy that summer is over.

It said "soda", which is commonly used in parts of the US for a "fizzy drink", also "pop" is used, as sometimes used in the UK. I don't think anyone has suggested that the carbonation is a problem, and I suspect San Pelligrino would object if they did.

I suspect a wind up going on here . Too many dumb questions being asked by some lonely person boring themselves to death in the great UK dump known as London?

Not a wind up at all.

It is true that I find the issue amusing.
Also interesting that in a world that has been globalised for rather a long time a group of folk in one country can appear to have a belief that somewhat sets them apart.
In the age of the internet in particular I am also interested in what this may say about Italian culture, family relationships and in fact history/social history.
Please forgive my curiosity.
As for me being in London I have never made any secret of the fact - I do not intend to be on here under any false pretences. I do though have long standing and significant Italian links and have discussed this issue in Italy a fair few times. Often with interesting results.
Enjoy your day. Back to the topic.

Temporarily disabled-but back now
I know people (Brits admittedly) who say they get "ice-cream headache".

I suspect it also says quite a bit about the penetration of the internet in Italy into the middle aged and older population, especially the rural population, and not only in Italy, but probably in other relatively "advanced" countries. My sister moved to France about ten years ago, and the French attitude towards the internet could be summarized as "the internet isn't a French thing". ..... That attitude makes only a bit more sense when you consider that France had Minitel.

In the US it is called "brain freeze", and is a real phenomenon with an established physiological explanation.
