Default Speeding fine

oh heck !!

Whilst enjoying a trip in Puglia last month, I have just received a dreaded green letter

I was speeding..............110 in a 90km area..............silly me !

Is there a website here whereby you can see how many points you have on your licence, I know I got a(nother) speeding fine a few years ago. How long do they last on your record ?

I thought all those numbers on highways were to say go faster than this and it is ok!

Never heard of anyone getting a speeding fine

Thanks a lot isshin, I've registered, I didn't see where I could see how bad my record is (I know it's not that bad by the way !)but after looking around I then got lost in the site (!)........................I'll have another look later

I could not understand how I put in my place of birth, it wouldn't accept anything...............you select 'foreign' and then put you place of birth in (in my case a city in England) and it just keeps bumping me off ! grr !

Thanks again!

You probably don't have to put your town of birth, just UK or EE, but I've never tried it. When they take points off, a letter is sent telling you how many have been taken. Can't remember if it also says how many are left.

ciao Concierge e grazie !

I have found a letter from last time (grr!) and it does indeed say 3 points and 17 left, I am expecting another 3 points and be down to 14 left. (I will HAVE to learn !).

My first 3 points (after 5 years incident free) came last year (August), I'm not sure when these 3 points are 'spent'.

As I am our only driver, my learning to go slower is starting today !

Thanks for the input folks !

They aren't spent. You gain 2 points for every 2years free of incidents up to a max of 30 points in total.
