Could I ask if you're all having problems cancelling your Sky contract during the first 12 months, or whatever term specified as the contractual period?
Another question, when your original contract expires, e.g. 12 months, do you go onto a month by month rolling contract, thereby needing to provide only 1 months' notice, like they do in the UK?

duffer - it renews for another 12 months so you either have to outright cancel it with the fax letter quoting that law or give them a months notice at 11 months that you want to cancel/change your package/contract.

Re: Sky disdetta
So if I took up an offer with movies for the in-laws, then after 11 months I give them notice that I want to cancel the movies and keep just the basic channels would I be tied into a new 12 month contract? Or would I be free to cancel at any time after 12 months have passed?

Did you read my reply? It restarts. Forget UK Sky, it's inflexible here other than cancelling completely. You can of course upgrade any time....
Chris - have a look at the scedules online. It's not bad just really expensive for what you get if you only watch a few channels. We've not missed it at all!
