What does everyone think about Mr B and his 'veline' and what about his wife throwing a fit in the newsapers ??? Is she justified - is he a plonker - is Italy the laughing stock of Europe ? (or rather does HE make Italy the laughing stock of Europe?)

Didn't his wife have a fit after he was photographed at some bint's 18th birthday party and he gave her a chunky gold necklace yet he never went to his own kids' birthdays?

When I first saw the thread I thought it read "Silvio and SLIPPERS" and I thought - Oh wow - is the old fool going to retire to his slippers. I should have known ......... slappers is a better fit for him.

He probably thinks he's a right ladies man and devastatingly handsome.

What I want to know is.... who voted for him? Most people I know seem to hate him with a vengance, yet he has been in power 3times!! The Italian political system looks really complex and I don't really understand it.... but 3times??!!

Unfortunately the women he attracts probably do! They go for the power trip and all that - I'm giving The Other Boleyn Girl another go - suspending my disbelief for a little - but where Mary,the other in the the title, fell in love with Henry, her sister just saw his power and what it could do for her - I guarantee Berlu could be bald and covered in fake tan and they would still go for him! Oh, he is....

Theres a programme on La7 at the mo - talking about this and they are also saying that women are just like ornaments (in other words all boobs and bums). Its so true - even the football programme has Simona Ventura on a sunday afternoon with everything on display - its a joke. One look at Antonella Clerici the other night with most of her maternal bosom on display was enough to put you off your supper Why oh why do all female presenters have to do this ? Do you think they are forced by the production team - I mean surely they dont WANT to look like that ?

I saw Simona Ventura a few Sundays ago and thought she was looking a bit aged ...... and what colour is her hair these days? It looked almost orange.

I don't give a damn about the dames getting and looking older ..... that's normal. It's when they still squeeze into teenage clothes with their boobs out that it annoys me. Hell ........ the 19 year old veline that do it annoy me.... and they made a whole tv programme out of it.

Nothing used to annoy me more than the Saratoga advert. Silicone sealant being advertised by a naked woman walking towards her perfectly sealed and siliconed shower.... with her siliconed boobs on display.

Haven't seen much of Victoria apart from the adverts but I'm seriously pissed off that the ******* Valeria Marini has turned up on Sky. I paid Sky to avoid Italian crap and now she is on a fox channel.

What the hell is that all about ?

Have also noticed that Lorella Cuccarini is now on Sky too with a new dance programme. If they just danced and talked less it might be okay.

Chloe loved the American "So You Think You Can Dance" when it was on. She loved the dancing. She's not impressed with this Italian show. Too much talking - too much background crap and again - too much talk ---like many programmes.

Have to confess Valeria Marini is one of my pet hates - I cant abide her I call her hamster cheeks !

I dont have Sky so I dont know who is on there - but I'd be real peed off if I was paying and had to see them on it. Every programme thats on UK tv like Strictly come Dancing or Ready Steady Cook - when they put it on italian TV it lasts about 3 or 4 times longer and is interspersed with the presenter suddenly doing an advert for sofas or something daft. Just awful

BTW - just back to Mr B for a moment. I read in the papers today that he was boohed and hissed at in Naples and the crowd told him 'vattene via'.
A few more like that and he might start getting the message

As a die hard Strictly fan I got quite excited when I saw Ballando Con le Stelle advertised last year.....then I watched it.Holy Mother of God it was terrible.even worse than terrible........Milly Carlucci looks like she has a plank of wood down the back of her dress she is so stiff and as for the announcer who does the scores........'traaaay poontiii'...and if they think that the english lady is tough ,I'd love them to have the Strictly judges for a night.And i started to watch it again this year until my OH banned me cos he was fed of me shouting abuse at the screen....but then I seem to do that a lot when watching italian televison

You don't watch the stripping housewives show then? How godawful is that? I couldn't believe it was still being shown and in the middle of the afternoon!! But then that is when their target audience is watching I suppose!

Good morning ladies...you really have pushed the right button for me!!! My two pet hates...Berlusco and Italian TV!!! Now please try and understand my opinion...this is pure brainwashing..lets keep the people ignorant by showing them IMPORTANT thing like boobs and bums and what she/he said/done last weekend, strangley enough the Italians in general dont ask question like 'what in the hell is going on with our economy' why are we now all so poor? There is no educational tv!! The adverts are absolute c..p!! But of course Belusconi is happy about this. As he said at an important UN meeting, oh come to Italy to see how well of we are!!! We have beautiful beaches good restarants (useless polititians) It is all just for show show show!!!!! Please fix in the Astra satelite and get tuned onto astra 28.2, then sit back and enjoy some really good tv!!!!! Learn what really does go on in the world!!! But seriously - you hit the nail on the head - its just media hypnotism of the masses - keep them amused with stupid TV and they wont ask any questions - like what the hell is happening to our country and why is the rest of the world laughing at our PM ? God its so maddening. I rant and rant to my students - but most of them totally agree with me but feel useless and say that they cant change things.
I have Astra 28.2 and I just love my English TV - I couldnt live here without it From Louis Theroux to comedy to Eastenders to Ashes to Ashes to DIY SOS ............oh heaven !
