Smile SICILY

Hello there everyone.

We are shortly to be returning to Sicily for the winter months on the north coast and wondered wether anyone can give some advice on buying properties in sicily? I am of italian origin however have spent all my life in uk apart from 5 years in sicily renting in the summer time.
We are looking to set up a b&b come agritourismo, and although we are being looked after very well by friends of mine there, who are doing all they can, its always good to get as many opinions as possible?

Red tape and all that? Anyone out there a success story?

Always grateful for support and any knowledge Ican pass on also.

Grazie

I'll PM soon as I can locate it with the email of a friend on the coast north of the Madonie who's been active in property there over the last few years - she's also from a Sicilian family.

In the Aude and I'm in the bedroom and listening to the children downstairs - it's blowing a gale without rain and the leaves are leaving the trees as if they had somewhere to go.

That when you going to Castellana? I drove through it but not been in there. Used to go to the two Petralia's to see some wooden crucifixes by - what was he called - Lo Zoppo - or something like that.

Lo Zoppo di Gangi - the Cripple of Gangi I was given as a translation at the time, real name: Giuseppe Salerno. I think it was paintings not the Christ figure - that was someone else - can't recall who.
