hi ,has anyone had their italian sky tv cut off suddenly?about a month ago.and what to do about it without calling sky technicians?

Are you sure its been cut off?

We've had Sky Italia for about 18 months now and it has changed its settings a couple of times following a power cut.

The technician came and sorted it so i made a note of the settings for if it happens again.

We have Sky It and the menu gives you a way of checking the settings and running a check for faults . It will then tell you if you require a technician or if it can right itself . I have never had a man from Sky since it was installed .

Might sound stupid but have you checked the cables are connected properly?

Go into the menu -> configurazione ricevitore -> impianto -> livello del segnale and check that you have fbff and 16a8 for network id and transport stream, and a decent level and quality.
