Default ringing UK special numbers

Just surprised that a 3 minute call to a UK special number 03000 (the Canterbury dump about collecting an old desk) cost more than 12 Euros with Wind
They seem to be getting back with one hand what they gave away with the other

I think someone at WIND has got it wrong as "03" numbers are standard landline rates. It's just that they are not location bound e.g. used by government offices covering the entire country . Else you have been done on one of the many mobile scams going on!

I have the same problem, in June I had to call my pension provider 0344 number (there were a few calls) wind charged them at high rate call, total calls cost over 400€ I joined one of the consumer association and they are taking the matter to arbitration. Original wind contract doesn't mention 03 numbers as charged at higher rate
