By then I would have around 53 years of continuous contributions but about 70 contribution years due to the fact that I paid voluntary contributions in the UK for a number of years whilst also paying INPS contributions.
Should I (can I?) claim UK state pension at 65 or should I wait untill I retire in Italy at 67/68?
Could I get both?
I have seen my contribution record at INPS (I have a screen dump too) and they have a record of my contributions (Italy and UK) unbroken back to 1964 when I was still at school ( UK NI contributions were paid as an encouragement to stay on into the 6th form as I recall).
By my calculations, you'll be 118 on your next birthday.
