Default New to Italy

Hi

I have just moved to mantova after living in Dubai for 3 years. I am British and do not speak a word of Italian! I have moved as it is my husbands home town and we have just had a baby. If anybody out there is living near by I would love to catch up for a coffee and a chat. So far I have met ZERO people who speak English.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm too far away for coffee and a chat but until you find "real live" friends, natter away on here as much as you like. In September ask about baby groups or "ludoteca" in your area. Everything kind of shuts down a bit in summer time.

I wanted to quote something but the quote functionality is broken!!!!

You said: " I am British and do not speak a word of Italian!"

It takes only 7 minutes to learn the Italian body language:

They should teach this in every school.

Hi Katie,
I am italian and I'm working in Mantova, even if i live half hour from there.

I am planning to move to UK with my british girlfriend (actually I am experiencing cold feet).

I'd really like to have a chat with someone who knows both countries.
