I can tell you that the poor mods who work that forum have their work cut out for them.

Well Patty, I'm quite happy here..People are great. A bit worried about Duffer (not). But, just don't go there girl, they mention all your wobbly bits and stuff. As I said I couldn't face my porridge afterwards.

The €15 books is over on Expats in Italy, shock horror! But to the mods and owners credit the person in question was chased off pretty quick, if you read the post that kicked it off - mine - I WAS actually trying to be helpful and get the person some sales!! But it was taken as criticism, ho, hum!!

Well that was a giveaway for nationality wasn't it?? I hate "mom" but Antonia has a tendency to call me that as she never hears mum or mummy only mamma or mom, so depending on whether she is being Italian or English those are my choices!! What's wrong with being someone's mother anyway? What a twerp!!

Yeah, they got loads of new paid memberships, a promise that bad behaviour would be dealt with, a new improved bill, hence his new moniker 2.1 and Annika has built them a completey new site from scratch, which having had a sneek peek, I have to say looks very good! Lots of pictures and a much more modern feel. The reaction to the book selling thread was interesting as the mods were on our side rather than the OP, who was new. Not sure that would have happened previously!

Lol! The new look isn't going live for another month or so I think - I'll keep you posted, or not!. I ignore the citizenship stuff and I think there is talk of that being almost a separate forum because more and more Brits are going on there that don't need all that stuff! We'll see....
