Hello everyone.
My girlfriend, my son and myself are moving to Parma next week(Monday the 26th to be exact) because my girlfriend is starting her Erasmus year there.
We live in Jersey currently and have to fly to London then to Bologna and then grab a train. We're going to have to book a hotel or an apartment for a week or two while we find some permanent accommodation. This is what brings me here.
Can anyone help with English speaking estate agents? I do not currently speak a word of Italian(I hope I pick it up fast!) and my GF is confident enough with her ability to sort out a lease so I'm afraid we will need some English speaking help. We have had a look at websites like casa.it and tecnocasa.it but its hard to know what sort of area we should be looking at with a child.
I wont start this thread off with a long rambling post with too many questions but if anyone can help me then time is of the essence!
Thanks guys,
J.

Hi
I dont know Parma but take a look at this website - it may be of some help.
http://www.soloaffitti.com/
(in Provincia box fill in Parma - same in the Citta/Comune box below that - then
seleziona una o piu zone put tutte and lastly in the next box categoria put 'abitativo' then click on the green ricerca immobile and take a look)
you could also take a look at the local paper Gazzetta di Parma and see the ads in there.
good luck

Is there no help to be had from Parma University? Normally a university has a housing department that is set up to help foreign students, and will have their own accommodation listings.
