Hi, I have an obscure question....

We are moving from UK to Sardinia, we are hiring a lorry to transport our furniture, etc, we need to get some insurance that will cover our contents for theft, fire, etc while in the vehicle. Does anyone know of any companies that do this?

We found one company, but it had to be packed by a professional company.

You "might" be covered for some of the journey on your current household insurance - assuming you have some that is - worth checking. I was when I moved within the UK from Manchester to Sussex, so you may only need it for the European bit. Worth asking a company like the AA - they do household insurance and car insurance as well as all the European driving insurance, so they might have something..

Thanks testarossa, it is covered until we leave the UK with our current household insurers, I had the same thought as you and contacted the AA, but no joy unfortunately.

Any more thoughts?
