What a silly article. 256 migrants compared to 56,000 who stayed at home!

Crappy tea makes me miserable so I have wine for breakfast now and Prosecco with my afternoon cucumber sandwiches and scones.

Can't stand coffee in any shape or form, but I do still like a morning cup of tea. I just bring t.bags back with me and make any guests bring some too.
Once upon a time I used to walk to work and sometimes stopped at the rather scruffy, old man bar on the corner to grab a croissant to eat on my way down the hill. Plenty of the old beggars in there were starting their day off with coffee and grappa or milk and grappa. They were always friendly so perhaps grappa is the way to go?

Can't do anything before I've had my bowl of cereals and a cup of coffee and I mean coffee .. latest favourite is the IKEA stuff you make in a caffettiere.

I don't really drink tea anymore.

Try rinsing out your coffee cup with a splash of grappa. It might set you up for the day ......... or send you to sleep at your desk.

haha! Better not, I have a one hour's drive to get to work ...

mind you, it might help me confront the traffic more easily :goodpost:

If I had to drive for one hour every day in morning traffic I think I'd keep a bottle of grappa permanently stashed in my desk just to calm down the road rage when I got there.

In Italy, it is socially acceptable to drink alcohol in the morning and we, as foreigners, must do our utmost best to intergrate. Just saying.:D

:goodpost: I'm on my way to being fully intergrated. Just had a very early prosecco whilst on the phone to wish my little sister a happy 40th. Well .... it is a special occasion. Pissed myself laughing as she told me about trying on a fancy dress complete angel costume and the doorbell rang. She went to answer it expecting birthday parcels to get delivered and it was the Jehovah's. Quickly recovering her slipped composure, she flung the door and her arms open wide and said, "welcome to Heaven. Come in, come in. Make yourselves at home." They ran away down the garden path.
