Italian calcio
Hi
I haven't been to an Italian football match in almost 10 years now. The last time I went was to seen Inter against Genoa at the San Siro.
At the moment I'm busy compiling a calcio glossary and in order to add a bit more spice and humour I was hoping to add in some Italian football chants. There's just a few in there at present like:
'Genoa non ti arrabbiare, l'importante è partecipare' (Genoa don't be upset, participating is what counts) sung to the Banana Splits theme tune (if you are old enough to remember it like me).
If anyone can think of any others (preferably not rude) then I would appreciate your suggestions.
If you intend to go to a game and want to get stuck into some popular calcio phrases then please feel free to browse through my new glossary which can be found at: http://www.lingua21.com/Calcio.htm
All the best - Lucia

Not really Italian but sung to the Addams Family tune -
Your father is your brother
Your sister is your mother
You like to shag each other
The Norwich family

Well if we translate it you could probably apply it to half the Italian teams. I'm sure it's true of the Vicentini folk. They inbreed.

When I was just a little boy,
I asked my mother what should I be,
"Should I be Cambridge?",
"Should I be Posh?",
Here's what she said to me.
"Wash your mouth out son",
"And fetch your father's gun"
"And shoot the Cambridge scum",
"Shoot the Cambridge scum",
SCUM!!!

Lads, I know you're only having a laugh but if you have anymore football chants up your sleeves, keep em clean for any of our more sensitive members.
Thanks.
Thanks.
