Humungous Lemons
Ciao Italia.... just wondered if any greenfingered folk can help identify the name of a very large S Italian lemon variety which my OH says he was told is a Cedric (or somesuch) ? ... that was seen in Sicily I think, but a friend locally here in Andalucia has a tree bearing ginormous lemons which may well be the same or similar. We're talking small melon size, not just slightly large.

I remember eating traditional buiscuits filled with marmalade made of cedro in Erice in Sicily. Yes, they grow them down south.

Thanks, at least I know he wasn't being told a fairy story!.... though our friends' lemons look very much less knobbly than the pictures online of the cedro. So maybe the mystery continues.

It is probably a cedro, where you eat the pith rather than the normal bit because its sweet. Or it could be just a huge sorrento lemon which do get pretty big
