How do I withhold my telephone number when calling the UK?
Can someone let me know the prefix.

You need to put *67# before the number you want to call. I've just tried calling my mobile from my home phone and it works.

It will not let me do that - i am trying to dial a uk number

Tried the other phone and seems to have worked - cannot get anyone to answer though to confirm.
It did not work on the cordless, I suspect the reason is the cordless you dial all the digits then click ring, but I noticed that when I dialled on the fixed phone there is a little delay and a new ringtone after you dial the prefix, you then dial your actual number.
Thanks a bunch, think that is problem solved-
My vision of working from the hammock overlooking the sea is temporarily crushed until i can find an extension cord!
