Free tv
Can anyone tell me what is happening to Filmon.I know I've talked about it before but now it seems we have to pay a subscription, or not?

This is what I hinted at in the original thread - you don't get something for nothing. They offer a free service to reel you in during the beta testing stage. How much are they charging now?

Re: Free tv
It has come back again for free. The problem was over the weekend when I got the message that my subscription had expired but noone else has mentioned it.Then on Monday everything was back to normal. I would gladly pay £1oo a year if it was all above board as I just hate Italian tv. We'll just have to see!

Just went into "justin tv" and it's all games, typed in "band of brothers" in the search feature, got three suggestions, a live video webcam thing, a game, and porn...Like wtf!!!

We downloaded Filmon and great watching BBC again but was all ready to watch a new series called paradox and the screen kept jamming. It worked ok in the morning & the morning after. Any ideas what was wrong & what I can do about it. So never saw the ending - it watched quite interesting. A change from DVDS!
Regards.

Re: Free tv
This isn't free but its excellent. My wife and I pay about 17 quid every three months. If you go to xproxy they will give you a UK ip address which allows you to watch BBC iplayer, ITV and all the stuff that Channel 4 are putting up on youtube. We've been using it for about 6 months now with no problems.
tonight we've watched Armstong and Miller, QI and Have I got News for You.
Give it a go! Its the easiest hassle free way of watching UK TV!

Thanks.I'll try that again when Filmon doesn't work.At the moment is's perfect.I watched wall to wall soaps yesterday without a blip. A bit sad I know but when you sit down with a cup of tea and watch Coronation street it gets rid of any homesickness you feel(even after 40 years this is still possible)

Re: Free tv
Spoke to our electrician and he is bringing a small device which guards against surges, however, it would not have protected the LNB and the router. It seems best protection is to unplug electricals/internet in a storm.

I can watch filmon with a tim dongle if I hang it out the door on a long usb lead, it works well if I choose the slow connection option, I just click past the register bit
