Italian debit cards fee-free on overseas withdrawals?
As someone who travels quite a bit, I'm interested in hearing if anyone has or knows of Italian bank cards with fee-free overseas (including outside of E.U.) ATM withdrawals.
I heard that several uk banks have recently dropped such fees, in addition to one or two who have had such a policy for longer.
My IntesaSP cards charge €2 per withdrawal (plus conversion on top).

Looks like Wise here offer x2 withdrawals of up to 200 per month for free, but fees above that seem high. I'm sure there must be others out there - Revolut? BancoPosta did used to be quite cheap for charges, but not too sure these days and/or if they offer currency withdrawals. Just pleased we have a UK address and can use a multitude of different options when travelling.

Halifax clarity card, I don't use such, but my brother does as do many others... For cash they reckon you need to pay it off that day to avoid interest, so you need internet access. I've not used Caxton for over 4 years, but prior to that I used their pre-loaded currency card all the time for cash abroad. There are many , many reviews like this Which one on the clarity card and other options - Chase is another my brother is using (we simply are not travelling at present).

Starling Bank offers worldwide fee free currency withdrawals and uses mastercard exchange rates. I have used them for years and genuinely there is no catch.Metro Bank offers fee free euro withdrawals.

Good to know as they are the other mentioned alongside Chase in the Which link I give.

Not too sure I understand? Both Wise and Caxton do multiple currency options. Not looked into the loading side i.e. can you do so in euro for Caxton, but for Wise it seems there is an option to get your card based on an Italian residency and euro base. Of course if you want more than the paltry monthly amount it is a costly option. I've not looked into Chase and/or Starling, but is it not just a case of ensuring you apply as an Italian resident (if you are)?
