I have a trullo (trulli indeed) in Ceglie Messapica; actually between Ceglie and Martina Franca. I met a geometer 2 years ago. He is living in Carovigno (next to Ostuni) he speaks english. You could send him an email ([email protected]). In any case, with whoever you want to deal in Puglia (I had some bad experiences) be careful. The area in amazingly nice but you have to be cautious. I found some good guys whom restored my trullo but you need to be there and follow all the steps.
I will come to Puglia in the first days of February. If needed contact me.
Best regards
Olivier

Re: construction in puglia
Hi, as a new member I have only just seen your thread, so sorry for late reply!
We moved to the area (Ostuni) over 6 years ago, and have now had quite a lot of experience of planning permissions and building construction, both traditional and "modern". If you would like to meet for a coffee when you are in the area, please send me a PM.
With best wishes, Paul.

Re: construction in puglia
wow.....apologize for the time lag here....
thanks so much for responding.
there are two things i'd like to ask :
1. do you know of a handy man in the area, who speaks even a little english ?
2. do you know someone who is good with a vineyard ?
we are trying to get down to our property one more time this year but don't know if schedules will allow.
will certainly send another message if we can make it down and would love the chance to meet you for coffee, or whatever is good for you.
take care, guy
