Lightbulb Cerignola/ foggia

Hello

I January I am moving to town in Puglia called Cerignola to teach English. The area looks absolutely beautiful but its very difficult to find anything out about the town as i realise that it is not a touristy area. I speak very basic italian and hopefully will learn fast when i get there. Im very excited but also a little daunted so if there is anyone out there who knows anything about the area i would be very grateful to chat .

Thank you

xxx

I don't live in the area but I visit the nearby air force base at Amendola occasionally. This is a very rural area; I hope you are a country girl. There is a great coastline and nice beaches nearby in the summer especially in the Gargano peninsular but not much in the winter. Foggia has a bit of a reputation as a gangster town but I’m sure someone will correct me on that.
