Car insurance (living in Italy but car in uk)
Hi there
Was wondering if anyone can help...I live in Italy and have done for apart two years but recently call my car insurance company to put my father on it too however I told them I'm living abroad and very rarely use the car they then said they were not aware I was living in the uk (which I told them when I first took out the policy) so now I have no insurance fore or my father. What do you think to this and what do other expats do if you still have tour car at home? I explained I still return home quite often but they didn't want to know and with 3mins if the call ending I received a cancellation letter

Natasha, in order to get advice, can you clarify whether you live( residency?) in the UK or Italy and is the car registered and kept in the UK?

Take out new insurance online. Put your father on as named driver.
In future do not confuse telephone staff with complex explanations as they just shut down. One word answers only and don't volunteer information.
