Calabria

Hi Darren
Looks like changes are coming to Calabria, yes! Thomsonfly.com are flying to Lamezia during the summer months and there was an article in an english newspaper several months ago regarding the builiding of apartments etc which are soon to be built to accomodate more holidaymakers! I got the impression it was in the vicinity of Capo Vaticano!

Calabria is not a new holiday destination but an existing one unknown to Brits, the Italians have been going there for years therefore it is not as far behind as people imagine. It is stunning and I have just purchased a holiday home there and can´t wait to go back. Please let me know if you would like any information

Hi,
Just read your post, I have just bought a 2 bed apartment in Calabria & are thinking of renting it out as a holiday rental.
If you don't mind to answer the following: do you rent it out for holidays & if so how successful are you?
Regards
Mozza

Hi Andy,
Glad you barged in, we are not far from Amentea, in fact it is the nearest town to us.
Be interested to talk to you so if you want to do likewise then would be glad to hear from you.

Hi Mozza,
It would be great to meet up some time, our apartment won't be completed until nearer the end of the year, so we will only be going out this year to choose the tiles and kitchen etc...
My Aunt has purchased the apartment next door but one to us & hopefully she will be moving out there soon which means she can keep an eye on it for us.

Any problems with earthquakes, big ones, recently?
Also, I have read that homes are cheaper on the east coast. Why?
Thank you for listening.
