Does anyone know if a Sita Sud bus would stop (if requested) at a bus stop sign on road side that is not written on the time table list for that route.

Have you had a close in look on google maps to see if it has the stop? In our experience in rural areas all over Italy where we have been is that they will stop even when there is no bust stop!

Thanks, yes we've seen a bus stop sign where we want to get off during last visit, its a mile or so away from the one listed on their printed time table though.
I hope a polite request will work, or its a bit extra walk at worst.
I just though there may be someone who has experience of the busses.

If you look at google maps close in on the area you are going to they have bus stops on most maps. If you hover over these and click on them they normally give you details of what bus stops there. Failing that, you could try contacting Sita here (link).

In my experience, Italian bus timetables (and sometimes train ones) don't always exhaustively list every stop, so chances are that if it's on the route you want, you should be ok.

I think I should be ok, it is a rural location and not a busy road.
I will find out the when I go.
It's a lovely place for walking anyway!

Our local Sita buses very user friendly.The drivers will drop you off or pick you up anywhere, even though we are also well provided with lots of official stops.
