Hi,
Is there anyone on here who can provide me with some info on areas of Milan, specifically Baggio? I have found a nice looking flat there and like the idea that it is greener than many areas of Milan (and is perfect for my two dogs) but I'm not sure if it's a safe area? I know it's a fair distance from the centre, but I'm happy to travel to find a more suitable property.
Any advice?
Thanks

A bit far, but I think it's ok. Well 15 years ago when I visited it seemed fine...
Since the turn of the last century it used to be a part of the city where they relegated the poorest and unwanted people, but in modern times it's just a greener part of the city. Definitely better than some northern popular quarters. Have you looked at other parts of Milan?
All the best.

Thanks. I've looked at other areas, but I'm not getting much for my money and the smaller places don't accept two dogs. I'm trying to find a happy medium between a decent sized place and a decent lifestyle. I'm also not a city chick so not sure how I'd cope being smack bang in the middle of it all

Hi!
I actually lived in Biaggio myself when I first arrived in Milan over 10 years ago.
Lived there for 2/3 years and if I had my time over again I definitely would have chosen somewhere else. I didnt feel particularly safe at night, and as at the time I was young(er)
there was nothing happening there at nighttime, meaning I nearly always had to go to Milan anyway, especially as when I arrived I spoke no Italian and knew nobody.
At the time i chose it due to being on the right side of Milan for work and also because it was cheap! And I'm not a big city girl myself.
Anyway don't want to put a damper on this but not sure if you have seen other flats in other areas in Milan?

Thanks. I've heard from someone else that it's not a good area so I've started looking elsewhere. I've been recommended porta ticinese, porta romana and san donato so have started looking there
