Hi all,
I live in the UK and am looking to move to USA, hopefully Cali area.
I have been a Network Support Engineer (predominantly cisco equipment) for 8 years plus now and have just obtained my CCNP and have also served an apprenticeship in Telecommunications amongst some lesser qualifications. However I have no degree
Is a CCNP and an apprenticeship enough to get through the US immigration system or do I not stand a chance?
Also it seems you need a job offer before applying for work permits, how willing are US employers to do this in my type of work?
Does it make a difference if I want to work there permanently or temporarily? I realistically will only want to work there for 2 years tops.
Please help.

No you dont im afraid. Unless you marry a US citizen and then apply for a green card or be lucky enough for a inter company transfer or have a few hundred grand to start your own business you cannot live or work in the US.
There a millions of bods like you and better unempoyed in USA - theres no point any company paying and going through all this when they can get canditates on there doorstep.

I just found out my work will sponsor me through a degree so my only option is that at the moment.
Thanks for the replies
