Advice on IT freelancing from abroad
Hi, I am considering moving out of the UK and setting up as a freelance developer. I would like to hear from anyone who has done this and has some tips on going about it; and recommendations on potential countries. I would like a country with:
Good internet
Low living costs
Nice weather
Low taxation
Low criminality
Solid values of community
Minimal state interference
Minimal consumerism
Countries I have been thinking about include Bulgaria and Portugal.
My area is Java web development, some php and lotus domino. I don't currently have any clients, so my main concern is establishing a client base/getting contracts. I have quite a good job in London, but increasingly want to leave the city. Would this be a huge risk? How difficult has it been for those who have tried this to get jobs.
Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

Consider Latin American countries, Montenegro is a good option, you can also look for South Asian countries like Seoul in South Korea.
