Default Sumatra earthquake

It's just as well this earthquake was nothing like the one which struck in 2004 because every single early-warning buoy deployed by the Indonesian government in the aftermath, was inoperable. None out of the 22 buoys was able signal whether a tsunami was likely or not.

How unbelievable is that?

Disgraceful, and potentially deadly.

It's very believable....Indonesia's government is run on chaos, flip-flopping on policy and mis-management.
They have been so corrupted by dictatorship, nepotism and xenophobia, since Independance from the Dutch, it will take ten Lee Kuan Yew personalities to change attitude and behaviour.
Just today Jakarta Post reports the President has ordered his Cabinet Ministers to stop bickering...imo... some should be treated as criminals and traitors and arrested.
