Default Youthful Exuberance turned Youthful bewilderment!

Greetings all. I (english) am just about to start my first year of univeristy in the UK and my fiancee (Australian) is soon to begin her course in Brisbane. After my course I will be moving out there, and getting married. I've been poring over endless documentation on the different forms and provisos surrounding immigration, and quite frankly, I'm lost. If anyone's been in a similar situation, or knows where i should start I would be most grateful. Any info on the cheapest way to do lots of flights out there over the next few years would also be appreciated! many thanks.

I'm sure someone out there will correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you will be going for a prospective marriage (fiance)visa?

Try www.immi.gov.au
for details on this visa , and they also have a booklet you can download on partner migration. Also do searches on these forums for spouse/fiance visas and you will find loads of stuff to help you. Any more specific questions, post them on the forum and you'll get help!
And keep anything over the next few years that helps to prove your relationship - including phone bills!!

As for the flights - cheap flight websites like expedia.co.uk have good offers, also the back pages of the UK newspapers, esp at weekends - look at companies like Austravel.

Hope this helps a bit,
Pollyana

Sorry can't help with the Visa info but have just learnt about KrisFlyer with Singapore airlines it's a frequent flyer scheme, wish i'd known about it earlier flown with them twice already and going again end June to validate visa, if i'd joined on my first flight , when I emigrate early next year could have gone business class all the way free of charge.
Just booked my flight for £602.70 return, good airline and not a bad price.
