Default written statement for partner visa

May be a silly question, but if we write a joint relationship history statement do we both need to sign it? Logistically difficult as my partner is in Oz, and don't want to wait another week for this to come back in the mail before sending in my front-end loaded application.

Could he fax back a signed copy or would this cause more problems than including an unsigned version?

thanks

What visa are you going for?
Can only give our experience - Ours was/is Prospective Marriage and we each had to write a separate relationship history statement. same details of course, but in our own words. He got his witnessed by an Oz JP, mine was done by one in the UK. We submitted the originals, I would guess they need to see if they have genuine signatures.

Best to do them separately rather than a joint one. Do them in stat dec form
and have them witnessed by a JP etc.

Rod.
