Is it worth having my skills assessed???
Hello everyone
I have heard that the Institute of Engineers of Australia may not be responsible for assessing Engineers in the future. As i am not planning to actually apply for emmigration until October '03, is it actually worth me having my skills assessed now, and running the risk of wasting my money if they do change assessing bodies.
I was also wondering if someone could let me know if a Ministry Of Defence, indentured apprenticeship as a Aircraft Maintenance Engineer(completed at DARA Fleetlands) would be recognised by the Australian assessing bodies as a trade qualification good enough to only have 12 months experience in the last 18 months. I'm hoping i won't have to have 6 years experience.
Thankyou
Tambo

mill)

Your assessing body is actually Trades Recognition Australia, not
IEAUST anyhow - if you look at the skilled occupations list.

Tambo,
Have you read my last post? My husband is at Fleetlands on MASU. It
may be useful for us to compare notes.
