Default Working while studying in Australia...

Hi,

Next September, my wife and myself are moving to Australia on a
working holiday visa.

My wife wants to do a Masters there which takes 2 years. From what I
read, those who enroll for an MA can get a Study visa where the
husband can work with no work hours limit (after applying for work
permit etc). For example, for bachelors degree, one can only work 20
hours per week.

Now the thing is that before my wife commences the MA, she needs to do
a 1 year qualifying for the MA. She will start this on February 2005.

I really need to support my wife in this. Do you know if I can work
without limit hours in that qualifying year, or this falls into the 20
hours/week criteria.

I have a BSc IT with 6+ years of IT experience.

Thank you for your help!!!

Cheers
Stefan.
