I have just been filling in the application form for a work permit for NZ when I came across the question about what provisions I have made to get home when the visa expires.
How can I prove this?
If anyone else has applied for a work visa can you please let me know what you did.
Thanks
Amanda

Hello,
NZIS have refused alot of cases because of this question, but these
were all for the people who belongs from countries like India,
Bangadesh or Sri Lanka etc. Once the work visa application is lodged,
they will send you a letter saying that they have concerns that on the
expiry of your visa you wouldn't get back to your home country, and
they would ask you to comment about it. And no matter what you do
after this, they refuse you. In few cases the applicants even have
submited the affidavit stating that they will get back to their home
country once the visa is expired but they didn't accept either.
In some cases they asked for the travel history for countries like UK,
USA or Australia etc. I am not sure if this is also happening with
people from such countries. Anyway, wish you all the best and hope
that you will get through. Regards.
