work in nZ on subclass 136 and citizenship
Hey,
We are here as PR's been here just over ayear. A job has come up in NZ that will last for a few years does anyone know if living in NZ counts towards our 4 years of residency so we can still go for Aussie citizenship?

Working in NZ does not count as residency in Australia unfortunately and cannot be used as time spent in the country when you apply for citizenship. Would be great if it did though. On another note, can you claim citizenship in NZ on a 136 Oz Visa if you reside the required time in NZ?

If you go for this job, be careful to ensure that you will qualify for a RRV once your five year initial Oz visa validity expires which may be an issue if you are in NZ for several years, particularly if your visa was issued a while before you moved to Oz.
