We lodged a spousal visa back in September. We received an email just a few days later stating that DIAC would be back in touch and we would be invited for an interview at the beginning of Oct.
Not heard anything at all yet and Im wondering how long I should leave it before I call them? Im well aware thst the visa will be approx 6-9 months to be granted but should I have heard whether we will have to do an interview or not by now?

Have you checked your spam folder for the invitation? Loads of people find that their communications from DIAC end up there. If you don't find it there I would maybe contact them and ask about it.

truthfully I am secretly hoping that one day soon an email will somehow find its way to my inbox saying its been granted! anytime before xmas would be nice!! not holding my breath tho!
