Question what happens with hubby and child.

I'll soon have to start all the paperwork for oz-going on nursing job sponsored visa (SOL, don't know the proper name for it). will my hubby and child have all the health checks-concerned about exposing child to x-ray, hubby recently had a chest x-ray, can that one be used if needed? Also will he be able to work when we get there (south australia) would we need to start some form of working visa for him before we go he is a school caretaker at the moment but no formal qualifications as such. He also has no certificate for English from school-dyslexic and struggled at school but is native speaker and reads and writes perfectly well-self taught-will that be a problem.

With respect, it's rather important that you know *exactly* what kind of visa you are going to Australia on.

Not only does it make a big difference to the process, but it makes a big difference to your rights in Australia.

Is it a temporary or permanent (migration) visa?
