Actually not that old (48) but for a skills visa I am, since the cutoff is 45.. :>(
I'll be coming from the USA, with backround as a computer system Administrator, primarily NT based, with some UNIX. I'll be coming in with an Electronic Travel Authority (good for 3 months), and will then look for some business to try and sponsor me. I guess my question is... am i crazy and just wasting my time, or is there a real chance, that I might actually get hired...? Thanks for any insights you may have... |
When you get there, work like MAD to promote yourself. You might be able to get
sposnorship if the IT "shortage" is a dire as it seems to be from reading this board. Maybe another option would be to simply apply for a change in visa status when you got there. > > > > > > > > > > > |
