Moneypenny when I spoke to the CO she said that they can use the form 888 if they find it easier than writing a letter. My reason for calling was because it says it's only to be completed by Australian Citizens/Residents...she said they understand that not everyone knows and Australian

If that's all you sent then it's not enough, sorry.

And you need to send in evidence of at least 2 years cohabitation otherwise you only get a temporary visa, not a permanent one. You don't want that.

Spouse visas can be refused on a number of bases including:

- if they believe it's a fake marriage
- multiple sponsorships
- if an assurance of support is requested (unusual for UK cases) and cannot be provided.
- character grounds
- health grounds (but unusual, as there is provision for a health waiver).

OK they've obviously changed that since 2004.
