I applied Nov 2002, got acknowledgement Jan 2003, no news since Jan 2003. Is it common 14 months without news, I check timeline for who submited around Nov 2002, only myself left there without news.

I tried to ring Adelaide about 20 times, always get "all our operators are busy" then it was disconected.

What is the right time to ring Adelaide?
As far as I know the telp number and working time is below.

3 9657 4115 press 0

9-4pm Mon-Fri
9-1pm Wed

However, these number always busy, then disconected.
Any sugestion? Or do I ring the wrong number?
Or maybe I just need to ring 50 times more, they do not allow
me to wait, just "thank you all our operators are busy" then disconected.

Any suggestion or tips or anything would be greatly appreciated.

Hi ,
go to the au and n/z forum theres been a thread there today about boomie who phoned them, hes given out the number and the best time to call ,and how many time ,s he called.

About now. They will have got into work and made their cup of coffee and logged on their phones.

Hiya as soon as the guy answers press 0............ this cuts out the pre recorded message...... if you get the same message about been busy and try again............ do just that.......... keep ringing back ova and ova......... i reckon they only have one line...... eventually you will get through......


we have found 11.30 our time seems a good time to call.....

Adelaide are currently GMT +10.30 hours so 9am there is 10:30pm here.

When Daylight saving comes in they are only 8.30 hours ahead, so you need to stay up until 12:30 at least.

Hi boomie,sorry about the help mess ,i found out that there r only 2 ones and not 3!
how ever i got through after about 5 mins ,lady was ok and told me everything i wanted to know!!!!!!!!!So thanks for the info,wish i d phoned weeks ago!!!!!!

This is a Melbourne number, not Adelaide. If it was an Adelaide number it
would be 8 XXXX XXXX.

This is the number I rang 0061396574115...I started ringing just before 9.30 at night our time...The first call the office was still shut..put the fone straight down and rang straight back..the second time I got straight through...!!! I was amazed as I was expecting alot of ring backs..but I think I was first call of the day..It was me that started the thread on the other forum the other day as I was having trouble to..but thanks to Bommie I have sorted it..try that..it worked for me

Oh I havent sorted it sorted it..I'm still trying to get them to take my cash...! Long story and I wont bore you with it...Im going for a skilled Aus sponsored visa..Im at the begining of the wait,so I'll be around for some time yet...! I dont have a case officer either...

But no cheers mate..sometimes I dont know what I'd do if it wasnt for the help I get on here..I'm trying to do it by myself(I'm a tight arse when it comes to my cash)so I have no agent..

Rang Adelaide 11:30am Sydney time, I did not read that "11:30 our time", I thought it was 11:30 am Adelaide time with only 30 minutes difference to Sydney time.

Adelaide.
